Marine Technician

Glittering sun. Crystal clear seas. Powder white beaches. Powerful engines, sleek beautiful yachts cutting through paradise. And marine doors.
Not everything in yachting is glittering and pretty. A lot of it is solid hard work, understanding mechanical, electrical, and even some electronics. The doors on yachts are a perfect example.
We are seeking a technician with career drive to join our established team – we consult and troubleshoot those pesky marine doors on yachts. An intricate combination of everything you have learned to date will challenge you into completing a job well done.
Even aboard a single yacht, you will work with multiple types of doors - Electric and manual sliding, pantograph, watertight, locker, and fire doors exist on every yacht out there. Each requires very detailed review, a creative and curious mind to evaluate and troubleshoot, and of course, meticulous follow-through to assure both the performance and beauty of each.
We are happy to train the right candidate – but you must bring the right mind-set to the table. If you have solid experience in air conditioning (mechanical, electrical, electronic), lock smithing, aviation technology, or, of course, yachting you likely have the skills to be very successful with us.
The position we are looking to fill is one that we would like to see step up to lead technician (so you can lead a team of 2 to 3), but this is absolutely a “hands on” position, not a point and delegate spot.
The position is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with most of the jobs at boats within an hour or two driving, however some out of town work can be expected. For well-qualified candidates not located in the area, they will consider a relocation package (so if you are in N. Dakota, now is the opportunity to get into the warmth!
